Palma Society was created with a simple mission: to help African travelers access Bali with ease and trusted local support.
For many African travelers, visiting a destination like Bali comes with countless questions: How do I get there? Is it safe? Will my bank card work? How do I move around? Who can I call if I need help? What happens if something goes wrong? The truth is that many people dream of visiting Bali but never take the first step, held back by uncertainty. That is why we exist.
The idea was born from our founder's personal experience in Bali. Like many travelers arriving in a new country for the first time, she encountered challenges navigating transportation, understanding local systems, managing spending limits and finding reliable support. As she connected with other African travelers, she realized these experiences were common: declined cards, international transaction limits, accommodation concerns, language barriers, unexpected situations and simply not knowing where to turn. Those conversations inspired the creation of Palma Society.
Over time, another reality became clear. Many Africans were not only interested in visiting Bali; they were also interested in the opportunities the island has to offer: understanding the property market, exploring investments, generating passive income, or owning a piece of paradise. Yet many were discouraged by a lack of trusted information, local knowledge and reliable connections. Palma Society was created to bridge that gap.
